PROGRAM – PAHS Chorale directed by Kim Rissmiller
The PAHS Chorale presented a Holiday Concert for the Club. The presentation was recorded by WAVT for broadcast on Christmas Day. We had a number of visiting members from the Pottsville Kiwanis and Lions Club in attendance. This provided a good opportunity for fellowship with other service clubs.
Birthdays - None
50/50 Winner -Clayton Ost had the winning ticket, but not the winning card. Better luck next week.
Holiday Party - Holiday Party was attended by 14 Pottsville Rotarians and 9 guests. District Governor Alice Kissinger and Past District Governor Roy Kissinger attended. Thanks to Rotarian Dan Sponenberg for providing Holiday Piano Music and taking a “Tip” collection for the Rotary Foundation. Thanks also to Rotarian Mary Sitcoske for providing table centerpieces.
Salvation Army Bell-ringing - The Club manned a kettle for the Salvation Army on Saturday, December 10 outside of Boscov’s. Sixteen Rotarians participated for at least a one hour shift, with several volunteering for double shifts. Thanks to all who participated.
ROTARY BUSINESS
Board of Directors meeting was held on December 12.
Nick Wachter’s resignation was accepted with regret. Nick has started a new job as a Sales Rep working over a large area of Eastern PA
December is Family Month in Rotary. To observe this Month, consider bringing a Family member to our December 21 meeting. Program is the Avenues Choir. If you are bringing a guest, please reply by email so we can give the Pottsville Club notice of the extra attending.
